Suddenly a voice boomed out. “What traitor dares to insult the great King Herod?” shouted a well-dressed man who was Herod’s high priest. 

A silence fell over the frightened crowd.  “There can be but one king in Jerusalem,” thundered Herod’s faithful servant. Then the wise men told him about the new star that had appeared, a sign that a great king would be born.
